Isopipe, or rock wool pipe insulation, is made from basalt mineral fibers and has a pipe-like appearance. Rock wool pipe insulation is available in the standard diameters of pipes on the market and is produced in various thicknesses. The thickness of rock wool pipe insulation varies depending on the pipe model, its size, and the temperature flowing inside the pipe. This product is used to insulate pipes carrying cold or hot fluids and is commonly supplied with kraft paper or aluminum facing. Prefabricated pipe insulation is manufactured to reduce energy consumption and protect personnel in industrial environments. Isopipe prefabricated pipe insulation is produced as cylinders 0.5 m in length for pipes from 1/2 to 16 inches in size. For ease of installation, this cylinder is cut longitudinally on one side and to half the wall thickness on the other side. This insulation can be cut with a knife or cutter and can also be produced with aluminum foil or kraft paper facing. The added resin used to make this type of prefabricated insulation decomposes at a lower temperature, but this does not affect the other thermodynamic properties of the insulation. Rock wool pipe insulation is a low-resin insulation in which raw rock wool fibers are impregnated with resin and molded. After molding on special pipe-shaped templates, it enters a curing chamber and is cured for 15 to 60 minutes depending on its thickness.
In the final stage of production, one side of the insulation is completely slit along its length, allowing the insulation to be opened from the slit and placed over the pipe. The next step is to fix and secure the insulation in place, which is done by tying it with steel wires at regular intervals over the insulation. At this stage, sealing of the installed insulation is fully carried out with special mastic, and the final stage is the installation of galvanized or aluminum sheet cladding to protect it from the effects of weather conditions such as moisture and heat.
Installation Method for Rock Wool Pipe Insulation
Each piece of rock wool pipe insulation is 50 cm long, and each package contains 6 pieces. A slit is created along the length of the pipe insulation, the insulation opens from the slit and encases the target pipe, and then the insulation is secured to the pipe with straps and other accessories.

Application: This type of insulation is used in heating, cooling, and air conditioning systems. The faced type of this insulation is desirable in the food industry. The main consumers of this product are power plants, refineries, and industrial and residential facilities. Insulation of pipes carrying fluids and steam is possible through the use of this product, and its maximum effective resistance will be up to a temperature of 350°C. Storage Recommendations

1. All rock wool insulation must be kept in a covered, dry place away from moisture, heat sources, and sunlight from the time of production until installation and cladding.
2. All insulation must be protected from physical impacts and pressures caused by improper stacking during transport, arrangement, and storage until installation.
3. It is important to note that no tools or goods, including pallets, pipes, boards, iron, etc., of any weight should be placed on the insulation to avoid quality problems caused by compression.
4. Avoid stacking rock wool pipe insulation more than a maximum height of 2 meters in storage.
5. All rock wool blanket insulation must be stored vertically and in a single row.
